DHAKA: A Metro Rail Project design exhibition titled ‘Life Line for Dhaka’ sponsored by Bashundhara Cement has been kicked off in city’s Alliance Française on Friday evening (January 06).
The exhibition, featuring various designs of Metro Rail project, was organized by Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd director Mohammad Kaikobad spoke as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
The exhibition displaying partial project designs of the governments ongoing Metro Rail Project including designs of four stations (Mirpur, Farmgate, Shahbag and Motijheel).
The organizers hoped that the first stage of the Metro Rail project construction will be completed by 2023 and city people will be able to enjoy the transport facility within 2035.
The exhibition will continue till January 10.
