DHAKA: Legendary singer-composer Lucky Akhand died on Friday (April 21).
Lucky breathed his last around 6 pm at his home in Armanitola, in old parts of Dhaka city.
He was 61.
The veteran artist was battling with cancer for long.
Lucky shifted to home on Thursday (April 20) after spending more than two months in hospitals in Dhaka and Singapore for treatment. Doctors suggested him to take rest in home as his physical condition was developing.
Some of his celebrated songs are--Ei Neel Monihar, Abar Elo Jey Shondhya, Amaye Deko Na, Agey Jodi Jantam, Mamonia, Ke Bashi Bajaire etc.
Born on June 18, 1956, Lucky started his career in music in 1984.
