DHAKA: Popular film actor Ferdous Ahmed visited a child care center at Kutupalong refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, installed in cooperation with UNICEF.
Apart from sharing some spontaneous time with the displaced Rohingya children, Ferdous spent some chit-chatting and merrymaking sessions with them Friday (September 22).
He was seen playing carom, singing and story-telling with the underage victim of Myanmar violence in Rakhine state.
Appreciating the initiative of United Nation’s humanitarian body for children’s betterment, Ferdous said, “I am overwhelmed seeing the actions of UNICEF and its associated bodies, intending to convalesce mental state of the displaced children who were driven out from their country.”
Spending time with the Rohingya children was a happy occasion for me, he said.
“Right-minded people from all the countries including Bangladesh should stand beside the imperiled Rohingyas”, urged the celebrated actor.
