DHAKA: Police action thriller ‘Dhaka Attack’, assumed as first of its kind in Dhallywood, has been released through a grandiose premiere show at Star Cineplex of Bashundhara City in Dhaka’s Panthpath Thursday evening (October 5).
The film is the big screen debutant for its director Dipankar Dipon.
Authorities of the much-hyped cop action thriller said that Dhaka Attack will be screened in 125 cinema halls across the country from Friday (October 6), in the first week of its release.
A high number of celebrated showbiz stars, government and police officials dazzled the launching show by their vivid attendance.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Police Special Branch (SB) Chief Dr Mohammad Javed Patwari, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia and actor Hasan Imam were among others attended the show.
In their speeches, the two ministers wished success for Dhaka Attack that depicts the adventurous straits of Bangladesh Police.
“More such kind of movies will be made in upcoming times, if this one earns good response”, said DMP boss Asaduzzaman Mia.
“Dhaka Attack has covered almost all the cinema halls in Dhaka city. No key movie theatre in the capital city has been excluded”, said Director Dipankar Dipon.
Meanwhile, the film starring Arifin Shuvoo and Mahiya Mahi in lead roles created a massive buzz among the cine-lovers of the country.
Concept and story of Dhaka Attack is from DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sunny Sanowar.
Apart from Shuvoo-Mahi, the maiden cop action thriller also stars Alamgir, Hasan Imam, Shatabdi Wadud, ABM Sumon, Taskeen Rahman and Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed among others.
Dhaka Police Family Welfare Cooperative Society, Splash Multimedia and Three Wheelers Limited jointly produced the film.
Cast & Crew of Dhaka Attack are hoping a large-scale advancement of the film.
However, it is to be noted that Dhaka Attack booked the highest number of halls in its release, which is a record for a local film excluding eid season.
