DHAKA: Ahead of releasing his latest movie ‘Doob’, celebrated film director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki announced that his next venture ‘Saturday Afternoon’ will cast Palestinian actor Eyad Hourani.
Hourani will be seen against Nusrat Imroze Tisha in the thriller—‘Saturday Afternoon’—the first one of an ‘identity’ trilogy series commenced by Farooki.
The Palestinian actor earned huge recognition acting in Oscar nominated and Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) winning 2013 film ‘Omar’.
However, shooting for Saturday Afternoon (Shonibar Bikel) will kick off in December.
“Omar is a much-liked film to me. I’m fond of Eyad Hourani who has portrayed the character ‘Tareq’ in this film. Tisha is the artist upon whom I can rely most.”
Many of the major characters aren’t disclosed yet. Details will be informed soon, said Farooki.
Saturday Afternoon will be jointly produced by Abdul Aziz for Jaaz Multimedia, Bangladesh, Shyam Sundar Dey for Greentouch Entertainment, India, and by Farooki for Chabial, Bangladesh.
Anna Katchko of Tandem Production, Germany, is on board as co-producer, said a report published variety.com shared by Farooki on Facebook Tuesday (October 17).
