Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for the magnum opuses like Devdas, Bajirao Mastani and the recent Padmaavat, is all set for another fantasy adventure film.
Hrithik Roshan was all over the headlines in reports that claimed that he was approached by Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the lead role in the remake of South film Pulimurugan. The original film is an action adventure that features Mohanlal in the lead role playing a hunter who tries to save his village from the wrath of leopards.
According to report that Hrithik turned down Bhansali’s offer. “Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted Hrithik Roshan to play the role and even approached him for the film. However, the actor rejected the same and hasn’t even given any reason for it. So now, Bhansali is on a lookout for another actor who can play the role,” the report quoted a source.
“False journalism. Or an honest mistake. Who will ever know. stay cool tho,” Hrithik tweeted.
Bhansali apparently is now looking out for someone else to play the lead for his film.
One of the highest-paid actors in India, he has won many awards, including six Filmfares, four for Best Actor and one each for Best Debut and Best Actor. Starting in 2012, he appeared in Forbes India‘s Celebrity 100 based on his income and popularity.
Hrithik and Bhansali last worked together for Guzaarish in 2010. The actor is currently shooting for Super 30 that is slated to release on 25 January, 2019.
