DHAKA: Dhallywood superstar Shakib Khan said it is his salient responsibility to bring some fortune to the country’s cine industry.
“End of the day, I’m the hero of this very Bangladesh. This country, this industry—are mine. Therefore, I will have to battle for the betterment of the industry and for the rescue,” he said.
“And I’m serving my duty properly no matter whether someone suggests,” added the actor having unparalleled fanbase in both the Bengals.
Shakib Khan was addressing the muharrat (opening ceremony) of his latest film ‘Shahenshah’, held at a posh hotel in the city Wednesday (September 5) night.
“The film is being made taking in many talented and legendary artists of the country, and using improved technology,’ he said about ‘Shahenshah’.
“The production house and the director (of Shahenshah) deserve applause,” added the actor.
However, Shakib Khan is going to introduce fresher Rodela Jannat, and for the first time sharing screen with Nusrat Faria through this latest venture.
Shahenshah will be produced by Shapla Media Ltd.
Nusrat Faria, Rodela Jannat, Ujjal, Tarique Anam Khan, Amit Hasan, Don Huq, Nana Shah, DJ Sohel and Rebecca, among others, attended the muharrat.
However, Shahenshah is supposed to lay on the shooting floor on September 11.
