CHITTAGONG: LRB had performed at a concert for the first time since their frontman ‘Guitar God’ Ayub Bacchu’s departure to eternity.
Definitely they were missing their beloved vocal while tuning the guitar without him.
Hundreds of viewers welcomed LRB at MA Aziz Stadium after musician Kaushik Hossain Taposh announced the name at the Shekorer Shondhane mega concert Wednesday (Oct 31) night.
“Please come LRB; LRB love you,” they were chanting aloud.
Afterwards, Ayub Bacchu’s son Anaf Tajoar Ayub and daughter Fairuj Safra were welcomed at the stage.
The siblings were seen crying. They urged the audience to pray for salvation of their father’s soul.
Tajoar sang AB’s celebrated number ‘Sei tumi Keno Eto Ochena Hole’.
LRB is performing without Ayub Bacchu after long 36 years, said its member Swapon.
The band manager Shameem Ahmed recalled how AB used to address Chittagong the ‘Rock Land’.
Singers Reshmi Mirza, Pulak Adhikary, Moshiur Rahman Rinku, Kuddus Boyati, Shahabuddin and Hridoy Khan also enthralled the audience under arranged of ‘Wind of Change’, a musical series of Gaan Bangla TV.
