DHAKA: The theatrical trailer of Siam Ahmed and Puja Cherry starring ‘Dohon’ launched amid much fanfare and gracious arrangements at Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) in the heart of the city Thursday (Nov 22) night.
BFDC wore a rejuvenated and vibrant look to mark the trailer open.
Dohon’s production house Jaaz Multimedia made the occasion an illuminated and a star-studded alright!
Puja Cherry said: “I have played the role of a garments worker in this film. It was very challenging for me. I had to take shooting preparation for long. I think the audience will get a cinema realizing their expectation”.
“Though I’m a professional artist, I hadn’t worked in Dohon for only money. I did the cinema for the country’s sake, the countrymen’s sake. The story of you (audience) has been narrated in it,” said Siam Ahmed.
The participants included Tariq Anam Khan, Omar Sani, Amit Hasan, DA Tayeb, Bappa Raj, Nader Chowdhury, Shimul Khan, Shushma Sarker, Amrita Khan, Zakir Hossain Raju, Wazed Ali Sumon, Iftekhar Chowdhury, Imon Saha, singer Imran and Jaaz Multimedia proprietor Abdul Aziz.
Dohon director Raihan Rafi and Tariq Anam Khan, who played a guest appearance in the movie, and Jaaz Multimedia proprietor Abdul Aziz also spoke on the occasion.
Film actor Faruk greeted Dohon team through videoconferencing.
Dohon, second venture of Siam Ahmed-Puja Cherry duo, casts Zakia Bari Momo too. The film is slated to hit theaters countrywide on Nov 30.
