DHAKA: Veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman is doing well after undergoing a gallbladder surgery Saturday (April 27) night.

He is expected to be shifted to general cabin from Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital Sunday (April 28).

The actor is now in 24-hour observation at the hospital, said his younger brother Sheikh Russesl Krira Chakra Director Saleh Jaman Selim.

"He is now out of danger. Hopefully he would be able to back home within a few days," he added.

ATM Shamsuzzaman was admitted to a Gendaria hospital in the capital city after he had fallen sick Friday (April 26) night.

He was suffering from digestion complications.
