DHAKA: Eminent singer Subir Nandi, who has been undergoing treatment at Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka with cardiac problems for two weeks, will be taken to Singapore for better treatment.

As per Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s directive, he will be shifted to Singapore hospital by an air ambulance on Monday (April 29), said PM’s press wing.   

The Ekushey Padak winner singer has been kept at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) since Sunday (April 14). 

PM Hasina is inquiring always about update of his health condition and his treatment.

“His condition is critical. Physicians have kept him under intensive observation,” Subir Nandi’s daughter Falguni Nandi told Banglanews.  

The 66-year-old singer has been suffering from kidney problems for long. He underwent dialysis on regular basis. 

The ‘Din Jaay Katha Thake’ singer served for more than four decades to the country’s music industry.

The veteran was awarded with prestigious Ekushey Padak this year.
