DHAKA: The High Court on Wednesday (July 31) issued a rule over breaching law while providing state grants to 14 films.
The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader issued the rule after hearing a writ petition filed by four filmmakers.
Lawyer Hasnat Kaiyum moved for the plea, at the courtroom.
In the rule, the court asked to reply why the decision of providing fund in three phases to make 14 films, by violating government grants giving policy-2012 (revised), won't be declared extra legal authoritative and why directions won't be issued to reconsider the decision.

In April and May, the information ministry decided to donate for five short films and nine full-length films.
