DHAKA: Veteran actor ATM Shamsuzzaman has returned home on Thursday (August 29) after receiving treatment at separate hospitals in the capital for four months.
ATM Shamsuzzaman has gone to his daughter’s home from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University at noon.
Doctors prescribed him one month of full rest for the ailing actor.
“He has barely any physical problems. Everything is normal now. He has returned home after making recovery, but he is not going back to work for the time being. He’ll rest,” younger brother of the actor Saleh Zaman Selim, told Banglanews
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina donated Tk 10 lakh for treatment of the ailing actor.
The actor's daughter Koyel received the cheque from Sheikh Hasina's Special Assistant Barrister Biplob Barua at Asgar Ali Hospital in Old Dhaka on May 13.
ATM Shamsuzzaman was hospitalized after he had fallen ill on the night of April 26.
The veteran underwent a gallbladder surgery on April 27.
He was kept on life support as his condition had been deteriorating.
