DHAKA: Television director and actor Humayun Sadhu has been laid to rest at the graveyard close to Rahim Metal Jame Mosque in Tejgaon on Friday (Oct 25).
His namaz-e-janaza held at the same mosque after Juma prayers.
At the time, many celebrities missed his janaza. However, many of them arrived at the venue after the janaza. Redwan Roni, Mustafa Sarwar Farooqi, SA Haque Aliq, actors Mukit, Palash, Mabrur Rashid Banah, Suman Patwari, Mostafa Kamal Raj and Omi are among them.
All those present at that time expressed their grief at the sad demise of Humayun Sadhu.
He will be laid to rest at the graveyard adjacent to Rahim Metal Jame Mosque in Tejgaon after Asr prayers.
Humayun Sadhu has passed away at Square Hospital in the capital early on Friday (Oct 25).
He breathed his last at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital around 1:30am, Producer Mustafa Sarwar Farooqi told Banglanews.
Namaz e Janaza of Humayun Sadhu will be held at Rahim Metal Jame Mosque in Tejgaon after Juma prayers on Friday (Oct 25), Farooqi told Banglanews at around 4am.
Earlier on Oct 21, the script writer has been kept on life support at the hospital following second brain stroke.
Mustafa Sarwar Farooqi said, 'Humayun Sadhu had a brain stroke before. At the doctor's suggestion, we had planned to take him abroad. But on Sunday night, his has a second brain stroke. And then, he has been put on life support.
'Sadhu’s condition is critical, he is struggling for life. I urged all to pray for his quick recovery wish,” added the filmmaker, famed by 'Doob'
Humayun Sadhu was admitted to Park View Hospital Chattogram as he fell ill seriously on October 5. Later, he was shifted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital in Dhaka.
On Thursday (Oct 10), Farida Akhter, elder sister of Humayun Sadhu, told Banglanews that for about a week, Humayun has been suffering from fever. Infection was found in his blood. He could not speak to anyone.
Television director, script writer and actor Humayun Sadhu is a man who wears many hats.
He has written the book, Nonai, which will be unveiled at this year's Ekushey Boi Mela in last February.
