Popular actor Azizul Hakim, who contracted Covid-19 earlier, has been put on life support at a hospital in Dhaka.

Patho Natok Parishad General Secretary Mizanur Rahman confirmed the news on Friday morning.

Earlier on Thursday night, he was admitted to Bangladesh Specialized Hospital with breathing difficulties.

Initially, Hakim was receiving treatment from home. But he was admitted to hospital after his blood oxygen level dropped drastically.

Actor Azizul Hakim, his wife playwright Jinat Hakim and their son Muhaimin Redwan Hakim tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
