The Gronthee, a leading global literary platform is hosting the 199th birthday celebration of iconic French literary realist and one of the finest novelists of 19th century Gustave Flaubert through re-reading his ground-breaking works.
The session will be streaming live on this Saturday 12 December at 3pm (UK time) from the Gronthee Facebook and youtube page.
Anchored by poet Ahmed Kaysher, coordinated by the editor of the Gronthee poet Shamim Shahan, the session will feature re-interpretation of Flaubert's works by an award-winning poet and playwright John Farndon, a prominent biographer of Flaubert, Professor of English and related literature at the University of York Geoffrey Wall, a well-known literary theorist, poet and the former vice-chancellor of Assam University Professor Tapodhir Bhattacharjee, a Peruvian author, poet and assistant professor of Spanish at the university of Northern Colorado Enrique Bernales Albites, a talented writer and spoken-word artist Shree Ganguly.
