Freedom fighter and actor Mujibur Rahman Dilu passed away at a city hospital on Tuesday morning.

He breathed his last around 6:45m while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in the capital.

His elder brother actor Ataur Rahman confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Dilu was suffering from multiple health problems, including lung infection. However, he was tested negative for Covid-19.

Dilu, who has been away from the limelight for a while, fell critically ill on January 12. He was eventually admitted to the ICU at United Hospital.

He was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome and fell into a coma in 2005. His condition gradually improved.

Mujibur Rahman Dilu was lauded for his performance as Malu in the hit TV series, "Sangsaptak"
