Actor Omar Sani said "Those who follow me please try to pray five times," he made this call in a Facebook post on Thursday (August 18) morning.

The actor said, "I am also trying hard to pray five times, insha'Allah. None of us will stay on earth forever, so it's high time we start praying.”

“My grandparents are not alive. My parents and most of my relatives are not as well. The people in your family may still be alive today, but they might not be in the future. So no matter what we do, prayer is important!” he said.

However, a netizen wrote, "Praying shouldn't be an effort, it's a duty. One must leave all other activities and say a prayer because prayer is the best form of worship. So, using the word “effort’ in terms of saying prayer actually shortens the dignity of it."
