Dengue: Four die, 646 hospitalised in last 24 hours

Four dengue patients died and 646 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Sunday (Nov 20).

In the 24 hours, 320 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 326 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 1,386 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 1,092 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 52,807 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 50,099 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 230 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
