Dengue: Two die, 253 hospitalised in last 24 hours

Two dengue patients died and 253 more people were hospitalised with the mosquito-borne disease across the country in the last 24 hours Wednesday (Dec 7).

In the 24 hours, 130 new dengue patients were admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka, said the DGHS release.

However, 123 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital.

According to DGHS, 683 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals of Dhaka while 488 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Some 59,449 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue till today while 57,018 patients returned home after recovery since January 1.

However, this year a total 260 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year. A total of 105 died from the mosquito-borne disease during that time.
