The Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute (BEHRI) has started observing World Glaucoma Week-2023 in a befitting manner.

Highlighting the theme of this year's glaucoma week "The World is bright, save your sight", the doctors and the staff of the hospital held a discussion and took out a procession carrying banners and festoons to raise awareness about glaucoma at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital on Sunday (Mar 12) morning.

BEHRI Professor Dr. SM Monowarul Islam, Dr. Moutusi Islam, Dr. Majumdar Golam Rabbi, Dr. Rubina Akhter, Dr. Zarin Parvin and Dr. Tasruba Shahnaz, hospital manager Md Ahsan Habib and other staff members were present at the event.

The Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute arranged free glaucoma screening and 25 percent discount on glaucoma test marking the Week.

Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute observes World Glaucoma Week every year to increase public awareness. It also provides poor and helpless people from across the country with free cataract surgery and medicines.
