Dengue: Nine hospitalised in 24 hours

The country reported nine dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning (April 30), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, four dengue patients was admitted in Dhaka while five dengue patients was admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.

According to DGHS, this year till today 514 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 472 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Besides, this year a total 11 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

Last year, a total 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year.
