334 more hospitalised with dengue in 24 hours

The country reported 334 dengue cases in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning (June 20), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the 24 hours, 273 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 61 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.

According to DGHS, this year till today 4,339 patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 1,225 other patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.

Besides, this year a total 36 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.

Last year, a total 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh.

However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered in last year.
