A total of 1,800 people in Cumilla’s Barura received free treatment with the support of Bashundhara Eye Hospital on Friday (July 27).
The free medical services started from 9 am.
Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute, Vision Care Foundation and A K M Abu Taher Foundation organised the free eye camp.
Regarding the medical service, Morjina Akhter, a patient said that the eyes are watering and itching. “I cannot get treatment due to lack of money. Today I received medicine free of charge.”
Zakaria Taher Sumon, former Member of Parliament, and Chairman Taher Foundation said, “Two more camps will be made in Barura. Many thanks to Bashundhara Group. They are giving us time for such a wonderful event.”
Eye camp head Prof Dr Md Saleh said “I have camped in many parts of the country, but i got huge response in Barura among other camps. It is good to see the interest of the people of this area in the treatment. If anyone calls in future, we will camp there.”
