Bangladesh reports 17 Covid cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh reported Covid-19-linked 17 fresh cases in the last 24 hours till Sunday (September 10) morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The official data showed a total of 29,477 people in the country died due to the disease since the start of the pandemic in March of 2020.

Besides, the total number of coronavirus cases in the country reached 20, 45,517.

The DGHS disclosed the update on the country’s coronavirus situation issuing a press release this afternoon.

A total of 643 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 1.03 percent.

The total number of recoveries till today reached 4,23,545, according to the release.

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8, 2020, while its first death was on March 18 that year.
