Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute (BEHRI) provided free eye treatment to 250 school students of Reverie School in the capital on Tuesday (September 19).
The camp under the School Site Testing Program started at 9 am and continued till 2 pm at Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital today.
Some 250 students were tested, among them, 150 were from Play to KG standard and 100 from 1st to 6th standard.
BEHRI Consultant Dr. Tasruba Shahnaz while talking to Banglanews said students were given basic information about their eyes, whether they have dry eyes, or if they have any other problems.
“The students after the eye camp will be aware of how to take care of their eyes. However, this was a very challenging job for us,” she said.
BEHRI provided this eye treatment under School Site Testing Program. Seven BEHRI officials, including doctors are assigned to continue program.
Bashundhara Eye Hospital and Research Institute started treatment services in April 2014 through modern medical equipment and investigations while more tertiary eye treatments are now being given here by using modern operation theater.
