At least four more dengue patients died while 959 others were hospitalised in 24 hours till 8 am today (November 28), said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In the 24 hours, 201 dengue patients were admitted in Dhaka while 758 dengue patients were admitted outside the capital, said the DGHS release.
Besides, this year a total of 1,610 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh till today.
A total of 3,10,046 were infected by the Dengue virus this year. Of them, 1,07,499 were in Dhaka and 2,02,547 were outside of the capital, according to the DGHS press release.
As many as 3,04,869 Dengue patients recovered this year. Of them, 1,05,568 were released from hospitals in Dhaka while 1,99,301 others left hospitals outside the capital.
According to DGHS, 1,000 patients are now undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Dhaka while 2,567 patients are being treated in hospitals outside Dhaka.
Last year, a total of 281 died from the mosquito-borne viral disease in Bangladesh. However, 28,429 patients were admitted to different hospitals with dengue while 28,265 patients recovered last year.
