Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen has said the 32 burn victims of the Gazipur cylinder blast undergoing treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery are not out of danger.
Six of them suffered more than 90% burns and have been kept at the intensive care unit, while 10 others sustained over 80% burns, he said while talking to reporters at the institute around 11:30am on Thursday.
The fire burnt respiratory tracts of the patients, the minister said, adding that they are trying their best for the recovery of the victims.
On Wednesday evening, at least 35 people, including women and children, sustained burn injuries in a fire from gas cylinder leakage in Kaliakoir upazila of Gazipur.
