Bangladesh reports 31 Covid cases in 24 hours

Bangladesh reported 31 fresh cases of Covid-19 in 24 hours till Tuesday (May 28) morning, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new numbers, the country's total fatalities rose to 29,495 and caseload to 20,50,411, said the DGHS.

The DGHS disclosed the update on the country’s coronavirus situation, issuing a press release this afternoon.

689 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 13.06 percent.

According to the release, the total number of recoveries till today reached 4, 23,723. 

Bangladesh reported its first Coronavirus case on March 8, 2020, while its first death was on March 18 that year.
