DHAKA: Specialized doctors will provide free medical treatment on August 15 at city’s Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital.
They will check up patients and prescribe them without charges from 8:30am to 12:30pm on the occasion of the National Mourning Day to commemorate the father of the nation, said BSMMU public relations officer Proshanto Kumar Mazumder.
He told banglanews that BSMMU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Pran Gopal Datta, in this regard, asked concerned people including departmental heads and directors to take necessary steps.
Besides, free treatment, the hospital authorities also chalked out daylong programmes to observe the day in befitting manner to pay due tribute to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The day will start with placing wreaths at the wall portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the Block B of the BSMMU at 8am.
The programs also include hoisting of the national flag at half-mast and hoisting of black flags with other events.
