DHAKA: Detoxification is required after you've indulged in rich foods and sweets through the week. Here's how to keep your system functioning better after the celebrations are over
Keep sipping on warm water:
A great way to detoxify your system is drinking warm water through the day. Warm water will flush out all the toxins from your body, thereby making you lose all the excess kilos that you’ve put on lately.
Have 5-6 cups of green tea:
Known to be a natural oxidant, green tea cleanses your body from within, making your skin soft and smooth and also clearing out toxins from your system. Drink about five to six cups of green tea through the day so that you stay rejuvenated once the revelry is over.
Stay away from fried foods and sweets:
The best way to detox your system is by steering clear from fried, junk and sweets. Since you've already eaten a lot of junk while the festivities were on — a week or two of non-junk will help you stay better.
Exercise enough:
Surely, you haven't had the time to exercise through this week, so make the most of it now. Try and fit in a schedule which will be easy for you to follow regularly. A brisk walk for 30 minutes will do the trick.
