DHAKA: Health Minister Mohammed Nasim said that 10,000 nurses will be recruited soon to ensure people’s health service.
The minister came up with this assertion while inaugurating midwife service exhibition stalls in front of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on ‘International Day of the Midwife’ on Tuesday.
He also cited that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina honored the people who served midwifery service during the maternity period.
State minister for heath and family welfare ministry Zahid Maleque and Health Department director general Deen Muhammad Nurul Haque and local MP Hazi Mohammad Selim, among others, were present at the program.
However, a rally was also brought out on ‘International Day of the Midwife’ from Nursing College premises to National Press Club around 7:30am.
An exhibition on maternity period health care of mother and child also held in front of DMCH, where 12 stalls were setup.
