DHAKA: Four more Operation Theatres (OTs) were installed at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), vowing to provide improvised medical services to the patients.
Health Minister Mohammad Nasim inaugurated the new OTs around 2pm Wednesday (July 25).
The hospital now is expected to conduct surgeries for the whole day, in its total six OTs with the newly-added four.
The minister also opened the hi-tech functioning at the Transfusion Medicine Department and a barrack for the Ansars.
Acting Secretary of Health, Education & Family Welfare Department GM Saleh Uddin, Health Services Director General Prof Dr Abul Kalam Azad, Bangladesh Medical Association President Dr Mostofa Jalal Mohiuddin and DMC Principal Dr Khan Abul Kalam Azad attended the inaugural function.
DMCH Director Brig Gen AKM Nasir Uddin presided over the function.
