DHAKA: Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved another loan financing of $110 million for a project in order to develop the urban healthcare sector in Bangladesh.
“ADB is giving loan approval to Bangladesh government-led project-2012 of primary health care services to urban people. This ensures quality primary healthcare for poor people,” said ADB Social Sector Specialist Brian Chin.
“This new financing will assist project-2012 as well as two other projects,” he said in a press release issued on Wednesday (September 19).
Earlier, ADB had financed in two phases (from 1988 to 2005 and from 2005 to 2012) for developing health sector in different areas of Bangladesh.
