DHAKA: Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said a 100-bed cancer hospital will be set up in every divisional city of the country.
The minister was exchanging views with reporters after taking office at the secretariat on Tuesday (January 8).
Zahid Maleque said, “The construction work of all medical colleges will be completed as soon as possible to facilitate health services. The process to recruit 10 thousand doctors will be completed as well.”
“Apart from ensuring healthcare in the rural areas, kidney departments will be opened at district-level hospitals,” the minister said.
All the pledges relating to health ministry, that was laid out in Awami League electoral manifesto before the 11th national election, will be implemented after taking due measures.
