DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the authorities concerned to protect the quality of medicines produced here as those are being exported abroad.
The premier made the directives at an ECNEC meeting held at the NEC Conference Room in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar of Dhaka Wednesday (Feb 27).
“Our medicines are entering developed countries. Bangladeshi medicines have worldwide reputation. Therefore the prime minister ordered to protect medicine quality,” Planning Minister MA Mannan told reporters after the meeting.
At the ECNEC meeting, a project was approved to set up a factory of Essential Drugs Company Ltd in Gopalganj.
