NARAIL: Upon the request of MP of Narail-2 constituency Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, action taken against the four physicians of Narail Sadar Hospital has been withdrawn.
The ministry verbally informed the four doctors to continue their duty at Narail Sadar Hospital.
Officials concerned of the ministry was informed the matter to AFM Moshiur Rahman Babu, Residential Medical Officer of Sadar Hospital, over the cell phone on Monday (April 29) afternoon.
Moshiur Rahman Babu told Banglanews that four doctors were informed verbally to join their workplace. Hopefully, the hospital authorities will be informed in writing shortly.
Earlier on Sunday, four physicians of Narail General Hospital have been made officers on special duty (OSD), after Mashrafe Bin Mortaza MP found them absent during a recent visit.
According to the order, the doctors have been asked to explain why they were absent in the office without leave and join the Directorate General of Health Services within seven working days.
Narail Sadar Hospital Senior Consultant of surgery department Dr Md Akhtar Hossain, Cardiology's junior consultants Dr Md Shawkat Ali and Dr Md Rabiul Alam and medical officer Sayed ASM Sayam.
Earlier on April 25, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza MP visited the Narail Sadar Hospital. He found four doctors absent in the hospital without any leave.
