DHAKA: The authorities of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) have decided not to cancel results of the controversial recruiting test for Medical Officers (MOs, dental surgery) posts amid escalating unrest due to job-seekers' protest.
Terming the demand of results cancellation 'illogical', Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanak Kanti Barua said there is no scope to retake the test.
Viva voce will be held soon to complete the recruitment process, he added.
The viva voce which was postponed temporarily, will resume soon as per decision of the syndicate, the VC said at a press briefing at the Milton Hall of BSMMU Thursday (June 13) noon.
However, protesting job-seekers earlier staged demonstrations claiming massive corruption in the recruitment test and demanding re-test and fast resignation of the BSMMU VC.
