DHAKA: Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) is set to feed around 5.5 lakh children vitamin A capsule under National Vitamin A+ Campaign.

The decision was disclosed at an orientation program at DNCC Office in Gulshan Wednesday (June 19).

DNCC Chief Health Officer Brig Gen Dr Md Mominur Rahman Mamun, Health Officer Dr Md Imdadul Huq and Chief Public Relations Officer SM Mamun, among others, were present.

Children aged from six months to 50 months will be fed the capsules.

As many as 2,998 volunteers and 183 supervisors will be employed at 1,499 centers under DNCC to feed the children the capsules.

DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam will formally launch the campaign at Mohammadpur Fertility Services and Training Center (MFSTC) at 10am on the day of National Vitamin A+ Campaign June 22.
