Bangladesh on Sunday confirmed 34 more deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3,399.
According to the Health authorities, 2,487 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 2,57,600.
Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of DGHS, revealed the latest figures in the daily online bulletin of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on the COVID-19 situation this afternoon.
As 1,766 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recovery reached 1,48,370, she also said.
In the last 24 hours, some 10,759 samples were tested in 84 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country, Dr Nasima added.
Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
