Bangladesh on Friday confirmed 34 more deaths from coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 3,591.
According to the Health authorities, 2,766 people tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours raising the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 2,71,881.
The development came out through a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on the COVID-19 situation this afternoon.
As 1,752 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the number of total recovery reached 1,56,623, it also said.
In the last 24 hours, some 12,856 samples were tested in 87 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country, the release added.
Bangladesh reported its first croronaviurs case on March 8 while first death on March 18.
