Suspected Pakistani Taliban siblings surrender as per words of bond

DHAKA: The two suspected Pakistani Taliban brothers--Humayan Kabir and Nasirullah--surrendered to the special branch of police on Wednesday morning, well in time as per their words of bond.

Police had arrested the two Pakistanis from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on June 18 and then set them free on a bond. They, however, went into hiding after the release.

“As per the conditions of the bond, they surrendered Wednesday,” a Special Branch source said.

Police interrogated them.

Tossing and moving started in the administration when the report of the two suspected Taliban members’ release published.

Police failed to find them raiding different places across the country, including Hajjiganj of Chandpur according the address on their passport.

They tried to go over to Africa by a Malawi-bound flight that night using Bangladeshi passport.

Police said the accused had taken training as Taliban.

Detectives had previously informed the airport immigration about the two Pakistanis’ trip, and they were offloaded from the transit trek.
