Obesity has been the root cause for almost all lifestyle-related disorders in recent times. Hitting the gym or using the treadmill at home might be out of question if you are used to a 9 to 5 sedentary job. Well, if your ever expanding waistline bothers you, fret not! Walk wherever you can instead of driving
Walk your children to school
Take the stairs instead of the escalator or elevator
Take a family walk after dinner
Replace a Sunday drive with a Sunday walk
Go for a half-hour walk instead of watching TV
Get off the bus a stop early, and walk
Park farther from the store and walk
Make a Saturday morning walk a family habit
Walk briskly in the mall
Take the dog on longer walks
Lift small jars and try to put them back into the cupboard
Avoid labor-saving devices, such as a remote control or electric mixers
Play with your kids at least 30 minutes a day
Dance to music? with your kids play musical chairs etc
Buy a set of hand weights and play around some indoor games like passing the ball
Take your kids for swimming
Walk while conversing on the phone
Go window shopping to malls
Wash your car and make it a fun activity involve kids
Move around for a minimum of 10 minutes three times in your 9 to 5 work schedule. Don`t forget to eat healthy and light, snack on healthy foods like carrots, cucumbers and fresh fruits like apples, oranges and berries as often as possible. If something makes you happy, dance and show it!
