DHAKA: This week’s beauty tip is on ‘Deep Side Part’. Take your makeup box and try…
Deep Side Part
Tired of the same-old center part? A deep, graphic side part like Amy Adams’ is a quick, easy way to upgrade your ‘do with minimal effort’.
For the Los Angeles premiere of ‘American Hustle’, the star’s hairstylist Laini Reeves mirrored the crisp contrast of her black and white dress with a sleek blowout and a low part.
To start, Reeves applied a volumizing mousse by John Freida to Adams’ damp strands, then used a paddle brush to blow-dry her hair straight.
She formed a deep side part, then tucked the remainder of the star’s hair behind her left ear, touching up any uneven areas with a flat iron.
If you normally part your hair to the middle or the opposite side, make like the star and prep your strands with a mousse to ensure that it doesn’t revert back.
Having trouble with placing your part? Use the arch of your eyebrow as your guide.
Use the tail end of a comb to section your strands right above the highest point of your brow, then apply a light veil of hairspray for added insurance.
