Life as they say, isn't a bed of roses, and we all have our share of ordeals and trials to deal with. As a friend, you should know how to deal with your friends troubles and be around if you're needed. Here are a few ways
Talk: We tend to underestimate the power of communication. Sometimes, all it takes is a genuine heart-to-heart among friends for healing to begin. Remember, your friend needs to vent and you should be around to be the shoulder that he/she needs.
Be available: More than anything, your friend should have the knowledge that you're around and just a phone call or a text message away. Being available for a hurting friend is the biggest support you can give.
Go shopping: All girls will relate to this! Heard of retail therapy? Then go out, and indulge in some. Shop from your favorite stores and buy your favorite things, when it comes to splurging on your favorite things- albeit once in a while, don't hold back!
Bake: Baking is a great stress reliever, go out and get some of your favorite feel-good ingredients, right from chocolate to vanilla to cranberries, you know what your friend likes best.
Go on a short trip: As cliche as it may sound, taking a break really does help. If not at a fancy location, just pack your bag and hit the beach or go for an overnight trek. If feasible, plan an elaborate holiday. Nothing helps more than unwinding for a few days.
