Do you remember the young teenager who dreamed about changing the world and harbored several ambitions that knew no end?
As we grow older, for whatever reasons, we notice our dreams being chipped off and replaced by other almost mundane goals and purposes. It all becomes about paying off your bills and saving enough for the future, responsibilities, family duties and soon you find yourself caught in the vicious web of 9 to 5 work and monotonous activities. There are several reasons as to why we stop dreaming and start following the brutal pattern the world has to offer. We become comfortable, often we take up a job with the hope that we'll move on to bigger, better things, but once the comfort of the place sinks in we tend to get complacent and decide to stick on. We decide that we're getting 'older' and should give up on our whimsical dreams and get serious about life. These and several other reasons, some exclusive to each person's life force us to become bitter versions of ourselves.
There are certain changes you can make in your own life to do away with the dullness and monotony. If you're not happy with your work-leave, its as simple as it sounds, leave and look for something to do that you're absolutely passionate about. Don't let age or family be a barrier. Remind yourself that age is just a number and if your family loves you, your dreams will be supported. Remind yourself once again, of that young teenager who wanted to change the world- then go out and do it.
