Do you dread taking that annual vacation with your young children? Here are a few tips on how to survive as well as enjoy time with them on a holiday:
Since you are traveling with children, make sure you choose a hotel that is kid-friendly, instead of a fancy, formal one.
Opt for one which will provide amenities for children like a play area etc. stay away from resorts that cater to honeymooning couples as you and your kids might feel awkward in such an atmosphere.
When it comes to activities, plan in advance what places you are going to visit and whether they are compatible with children. Also, make sure that you don't cram in too many tours in a short time, as with kids, you have to consider their nap times, etc.
Make sure that you plan activities that both you and your children can enjoy. For example, a fun theme park, an afternoon on the beach or swimming pool or a visit to the zoo are places everyone in the family can enjoy.
Leave room for errors. With kids, you never know what mood swings they might experience or where they might fall sick. So have a schedule that is flexible, so that if you want to change activities, you don't land up ruin your entire vacation.
