Side braids can lift up a boring look instantly. Not only does it go well with a casual outfit but it also looks perfectly well with ethnic attires as well. Here's how you can make a side braid:
Wash, condition and dry out your hair. Remove all the knots and tangles.
Make a parting accordingly. Usually, side braids are asymmetrical, so a side partition works best.
Gather all your hair to one side. If your part is on the left, make sure you gather your hair on the right and vice versa.
Split the hair into three equal sections. Don't worry about the shorter strands coming free — it adds to the messy look.
Starting underneath your ear, start braiding your hair, like you normally would — the outer sections going over the middle.
Stop braiding at the desired length. Secure the ends with an elastic band.
Other interesting side braids that are popular include the French-style side braid and the four-strand side braid.
