You must have heard about how important warming up is, but most people do not realise that warming up is not the same as stretching. Experts say that a warm-up is mandatory before you being exercising, otherwise you may injure yourself.

Jogging at one place,

Benefits of stretching:
Stretching, when done properly, relaxes and elongates a muscle after a warm up and before you begin weight training.
Stretching alerts your muscles and loosens them.
It also promotes blood circulation in muscles and considerably lowers the chances of soreness the next day.
When done along with proper exercises and under the professional guidance of an experienced trainer it helps to build muscles.
