Put your eyeliner to some artistic use - paint a fancy ring on your finger or a dainty pendant on your neck. Add some eyeshadow glitter for a party effect.
This season, using makeup as jewellery on your body, is in vogue. For example, shimmery gold eyeliner at Dries Van Noten's SS15 Paris show did not end up on the models' eyes but was sported on their lips, giving them a pierced effect. Make-up artist Peter Philips drew a gold line down each model's lower lip.You can now say goodbye to earrings and say hello to ear make-up. Models walking the runway at Anthony Vaccarello in Paris wore oversized cuffs on their left ear. Make-up artist Tom Pecheux had covered the bottom half of their ears with liquid liner and glitter!
Why it's catching on: It is a great option for those who are afraid of getting pierced or don't want to get a permanent tattoo.
How to make creative designs: Use an eyeliner to draw black earrings in one ear. You can also use it to design a bracelet. For a more arty touch, get your make-up artist to paint replicas of traditional polki or kundan jewellery. Opt for Egyptian designs such as peacock feathers on your body. Use an eyeshadow and lip colours to add different textures.
